Laurence POITRIN was born in 1962. 
She is drawing and observing animals since her childhood and used to be an experienced horse rider.
She is living in the Pyrénées mountains, south of France.
Since she had read Konrad Lorenz when she was 13, she decided to find her professional way by observing animals.(Naturalist or drawer)
In 1981, she succeded at the Ecole Pilote Internationale d'Art et de Recherche de la Villa Arson (Nice) 
(= Art School) and 5 years later, she got the Diploma in 1986 first class honours by the board of examiners..
In 2003 she had her first horse paintings exhibition at the Galleri Hippo in Stockholm, Sweden,
 after being working for advertising agencies as a graphic designer in Paris, Nice and Sophia Antipolis and having devoting the 90's to raise up her 2 children and taking care of her dwarf rabbits keeping and other animals.
In 2005 her paintings were selected for a collective exhibition for the Salon International de Saumur ART CHEVAL which allows her to stay in an Artist Residence in Saumur in 2006 to be at the Cadre Noir riders trainings.
And then she had an exhibition of her Saumur horses paintings and sketches, in the Haras National de Tarbes (national stud farm) -February 15th to May 15th 2007. And  at "La maison du Curiste" in Luchon from May 16th to June 15th 2007.
Paintings will be used soon for TV scenery for an Equidia Channel programme.
